Making bread with the Fifth Grade North Dakota Bread Fair

In April, Sheridan County MSU Extension partnered with North Dakota State University Extension and Plentywood Schools to host the North Dakota Bread Fair. During the event, students used a kit provided by NDSU Extension to make their own loaf of honey wheat bread using local ingredients from just over the state line in North Dakota. These fifth graders had a fantastic time learning how to make bread and how the crops grown in the region become integral parts of the foods they eat every day.
