MSU Extension serves Teton County in the areas of wellness, mental health, consumer science, human development, youth and 4-H programming. MSU Extension provides services in production agriculture focusing on crops, forage and livestock. The economy is influenced by agricultural production and small business ownership. Major employers include schools, hospital, utility and communication cooperatives, USDA and agricultural support services. There has been an increase in e-commuters in recent years. The communities of Teton County -- Choteau, Dutton, Fairfield, Power, Pendroy and Bynum -- are bordered by the Rocky Mountains to the west and plains to the east. The MSU Extension team includes Jane Wolery, Jamie Smith and Sharla Hinman, who are dedicated to serving people in Teton County.
