The Granite County 4-H program is comprised of 61 members and 13 leaders participating in various projects. The 4-H program in Granite County combines efforts to share the unique hands-on learning experience that is 4-H. Members in the Granite County 4-H program have the opportunity to share in hands-on learning at several different county events: Project Possibilities, Foods Fair, Stir-Ups, Quality Assurance, Countywide Demonstrations, IPYA Presentations, and showmanship clinics. Granite County has three 4-H clubs that host and coordinate activities throughout the year. These clubs also participate in community service activates to improve and give back to the communities that support them. The Best in the West 4-H Club participates in the Adopt a Highway program and each year, members cover 4 miles of Highway 1 and collect trash along the roadside. Each year they remove about 20 large garbage bags of trash! The Flint Creek Valley 4-H Club has been receiving from Blackfoot Telephone Co-op and the Montana Department of Agriculture to purchase and install flower planters, flowers, and potting soil to display outside of the Granite County Museum. They have also raised funds to purchase tables and chairs for outside seating as well. The third club in Granite County is Golden Opportunity and they have been involved in cleaning up construction sites for local businesses and volunteering to serve food at community events.
