Hello! My name is Jaycee Searer and I am excited to be the Dawson County MSU Extension Agent. I have been employed with Montana State University Extension since August and have truly enjoyed every minute of this new journey. I am so fortunate to have the opportunity to work with the youth, agriculturalists, and community members of Dawson County. I grew up in Sidney, Montana, on a cow-calf operation and was very involved in my local 4-H program. Some of my best memories as a child stem from Richland County 4-H and I credit so much of who I am today back to the 4-H program. I cannot wait to continue to promote 4-H in this position. I attended Dickinson State University where I received my Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Studies with an option in Business and Marketing. I was very involved in the agriculture-based clubs on campus, such as the Collegiate Farm Bureau Club. Before working for MSU Extension, I was a Field Representative with the North Dakota Farm Bureau and had the opportunity to work with agricultural producers from across North Dakota, as well as the Midwest region of the United States. I got to spend time at the State Capitol during the 66th Legislative Assembly and help promote the policies and beliefs of NDFB during various trade shows, conferences, and legislative meetings. I look forward to continuing in Extension to serve as a resource to the members of Dawson County.
